Aguas y Servicios de la Costa Tropical de Granada AIE (Water and Services to the Tropical Coast of Granada A.I.E) started managing the service in June 1996, after the merger of two large Spanish company groups: Aqualia, an FCC group company, and the water division of Acciona.
Aguas y Servicios de la Costa Tropical de Granada AIE aims to manage the complete domestic, industrial, and urban-use water cycle in the Tropical Coast of Granada Municipality community, and to carry out its maintenance.
Aguas y Servicios de la Costa Tropical de Granada AIE works to manage water in an integral way, taking two approaches:
- The collection and distribution of drinking water.
- Waste water collection and purification.
Who do we provide services to?
Aguas y Servicios de la Costa Tropical de Granada AIE provides its services to all of the municipalities in the Tropical Coast of Granada Municipality community, dividing these into four main areas:
- Motril Sector, including: Motril, Castell de Ferro, Lujar and Torrenueva Costa.
- Almuñecar Sector, including: Almuñecar, Jete, Otivar and Lentejí.
- Salobreña Sector, including: Salobreña, Itrabo and Molvizar.
- Contraviesa Sector, including: Albuñol, Sorvilan, Polopos, Albondon and Rubite.
In addition to the municipalities mentioned above, we also provide water services to certain areas in Alta Contraviesa and Alpujarras.
